Wilshere answered a fan on a Google hangout that he was gutted when Cesc
Fabregas left Arsenal for his boyhood club Barcelona.
The
Spanish playmaker Fabregas returned to Barcelona in 2011 after playing eight seasons
with Arsenal. The 26 year old scored 57 and set up 98 goals in 303 appearances
for the Gunners and currently enjoying his days in Spain with Barcelona where
he has netted 35 and set up 41 goals in 116 games.
Wilshere
said to a fan during a chat that he was really upset when Cesc decided to leave.
Cesc was the captain and it was a big blow for the players and the fans.
The
21 year old added that he is now looking forward to play at Arsenal and thanked
Wenger for giving him the chance in the very young age of 16 to play and train
with the first team and to be a player he is today. Wenger always put his arm
around him.
He
further said that there were many games in which he could not perform well but
boss always stuck with him that he is young and young players make mistakes.
Wilshere
who made a debut for the Gunners in 2008 has appeared 115 times in an Arsenal
jersey.
Yesterday,
the English men scored the double in a 2-0 win over Marseille in a Champion
League match.
