Portugese
side SL Benfica have created many talented players in the past with some of
them always being linked to the Premier League giants Manchester United.
From
last 2 years, news has been roaming around the world that Manchester United trying
to sign Benifica left winger Nicolás Gaitán, but this time there is a different
name, former Chelsea player Nemanja Matic is being linked to them.
According
to news Italian side Napoli and Manchester United are battling to sign the 25
year old midfielder Nemanja Matic.
The
Serbia international player left Stamford Bridge in 2011, he was the part of
the deal when Chelsea signed Brazilian center Back David Luiz from Benfica.
Red
Devils manager David Moyes is trying to capture him for around fifteen million
pounds according to reports.
Matic
scored his first Benfica goal against the Portuguese giants Porto in a 2-2 draw.
After that he was offered a contract that would allow him to stay until 2018 at
Estádio da Luz.
The
Serbian also netted some crucial goals for Benfica, his late header against Bayer
Leverkusen in Europa League last season sealed a 3-1 victory.
Matić
was a vital player throughout the league for Benfica. He won Primeira Liga
Player of the Year award for 2012-13 season.
