Chelsea are planning to sign the Colombian striker
from Monaco in the coming window.
Monaco signed Falcoa from Atlético Madrid for a fee believed
to be around 60 million euros in summer. The Colombian has proved his worth in
Ligue 1 by scoring eight goals in eleven games for the French side.
The 27-year-old striker has netted twenty goals in forty
nine appearances for Colombia which shows that he also proved himself on
international level. He is currently on international duty, recently scored a
goal in a 2-0 win over Belgium in a friendly match.
Chelsea are preparing a big money move for him which
is around 55 million pounds according to reports. Chelsea are also planning to
offload their Spanish striker Fernando Torres who has been struggling since his
big money move from Liverpool.
Chelsea have a big striking problem, Torres and Ba are
not good enough while Eto’o is too old. So Chelsea need a good striker that can
cause troubles for opponent’s defense and Falcao is the right player for it.
What do you say should Chelsea go for him or should
scout someone else?
