David Beckham believes that youngster can give the
real boost to England to win the World Cup next year in Brazil.
Former England captain has claimed that there is no reason why “The Three Lions” can’t win the competition.
Last time England won the World Cup in 1966, but when England
had the best squad Glenn Hoddle, Sven Goran Eriksson and Fabio Capello all of these
managers failed to win the greatest trophy. The current England captain Steven
Gerrard, Paul Scholes, Rio Ferdinand, Michael Owen, David Beckham and Frank
Lampard were all the part of that golden generation.
Beckham who has appeared 115 times in an England
jersey, is now looking to England youngsters who can help Roy Hodgson to bring
a trophy from Brazil next year.
The Sky Academy ambassador told Sky Sports that he is
always hopeful about when England go into competitions because he has experienced
it so many times, he knows how it feels when you go into a big competition.
The former Manchester United star further added that
England manager Roy Hodgson has changed the team in a good way, he has introduced
a lot of young and talented players to the squad. Tottenham star Andros
Townsend is the fresh example. He is young and talented and playing without
worries.
Everyone before going to the competition thinks that
they will win it, but it is very difficult as any team may face some of the
best countries with the best talents in the world.
In the end Beckham said that there is no competition
bigger than the World Cup, all present world class footballers will be there. He
is hopeful that England can go all the way.
