Sterling called by England.
Liverpool starlet Raheem Sterling has been called up for his international duty by England for a match against Poland which will be played on Tuesday at Wembley. If the three lions win then they will secure their place in the group stages of World Cup, otherwise it will depend upon the result of Ukraine who will play San Marino on 15th October.




Spain debuted Swansea star.
Swansea City striker Michu played an hour for Spain against Belarus last night.He was replaced by Manchester City’s Alvaro Negredo who scored the winner for Spain.
The 27 year old told that he is very happy and pleased. He appreciates the confidence the coach has shown in him.



Half Job is done, Hodgson said.
England won 4-1 against Montenegro last night at Wembley, and still to play one more match there against Poland which will not be an easy one according to England manager Roy Hodgson.




Colombia booked their place.
Monaco striker Radamel Falcao helped Colombia to qualify for World Cup by scoring two goals in a 3-3 draw against Chile yesterday.



Joachim Low expects to be offered a new deal.
Joachim Low is confident that he will be signing a new deal as a Germany coach. Germany secured their place for the World Cup after a great 3-0 victory over Republic of Ireland on Friday night.


6-0 costs a big news for Osieck.
Holger Osieck has been sacked by Football Federation of Australia after a terrible match against France.



FFA (Football Federation of Australia) chairman Frank Lowy said that the decision is based on the longer term matters of the upgrading of the Socceroos team and the preparations for the coming tournaments. They have set a planned objective of becoming a highly competitive team in Brazil and then aiming to win the Asian Cup on home soil in January 2015.
