England manager Roy Hodgson knows that the coming two
games against Montenegro and Poland are very important because the result can
decide his future.
England are currently on the top of their group H.
Whereas Montenegro and Ukraine both are one point behind England. Poland are
not very far from them also, they are just two points behind the group leader.
Roy Hodgson’s men cannot enjoy relaxation as they are
in tough competition with these two above mentioned teams. These two matches
can change the shape of group H.
If England finish second then they will have to play
two more matches in order to qualify for the World Cup which will held in
Brazil, next year. Finishing third will be disastrous for the England manager and
for the supporters. Last time England failed to qualify for the World Cup was
in 1994 held in United States of America.
Hodgson probably refused to reveal his squad selection
in his final rematch conference on Thursday. Kyle Walker, Phil Jagielka, Gary
Cahill and Leighton Baines are set to make up the back four with goalkeeper Joe
Hart. Whereas in the center of midfield Jack Wilshere is likely to replace
England’s captain Steven Gerrard, the other one will be Frank Lampard with James
Milner on the right and Danny Welbeck on the left, Wayne Rooney and Daniel
Sturridge will start upfront.
Former England and Newcastle United captain Alan
Shearer thinks that England do not deserve a place in the coming World Cup if
they failed to beat both Montenegro and Poland.
England has the best attacking players, according to
Rooney. Find out here.
