Manchester
United have confirmed that they have reached an agreement with Uruguayan club
Atletico Penarol for their young Uruguay U20 defender Guillermo Varela and will
complete his transfer. He will become the first signing under new United boss
David Moyes.
The 33 year old Pablo
Aimar has confirmed that he will leave the Portuguese club Benfica. He extended
his contract for one year in the last summer but this time he told that it’s
the right time to switch. He made 178 appearances and scored 17 goals for them
and helped them to win a league title in 2010.
Tottenham have
released two players William Gallas and David Bentley. Tottenham signed Gallas
on a free transfer but paid £15m to Blackburn for Bentley in 2008.
Chelsea are in
advanced position to sign the Napoli star striker Edinson Cavani. According to
reports they will make a bid for the 27 year old stiker in the next 24 hours.
