British football have been plunged into crisis with the news that Michael Owen will finally retire at the end of season. Michael Owen made his decision in the month of March to hang up his boots from professional football.
Also Michael Owen poised to become football agent following retirement at the end of season. 
The 33 year old, has played for Liverpool, Real Madrid, Newcastle United, Manchester United and currently a Stoke benchwarmer who has made only 8 appearances and has scored only 1 goal for them. The last English man to win the Balloon d’Or, and a successful Liverpool player who has made 297 appearance and has 158, winning many trophies with Liverpool including FA cup, league cups and different UEFA cups as well as many individual titles like Golden boot twice, premier league player of the season, young player of the season. At his best, he was the sharp striker blessed with speed and goalscorers instinct.


His major part of the career was affected due to his injuries especially the injury he had in the World Cup 2006 against Sweden.
He was 18 years old when he made his debut for England. He has scored 40 goals in 89 appearances for his country, scoring many memorable goals.
In 2009, he annoyed Liverpool fans even more than when he left for Real Madrid when he joined the dark side over at United. The decision was shocking for the Liverpool fans. He ends up with one more premier league medal than Steven Gerrard will ever have.

He will be missed by many players and fans.
