Berahino has not played for the English side side since September due to injury issues. But now he is set to feature for the under 23 side tonight and could be hoping for a comeback for the senior side this weekend.

The English striker was strongly linked with a move away from Hawthorns in the summer, Crystal Palace and Stoke City made a £20million which was rejected by the Baggies.

The 23-year-old will be out of contract at the end of this year but boss Tony Pulis is planning to test him again and if he proves he will get a new deal.

Pulis said ahead of the under 23 game that this will be his first full game after injury, he hopes he return stronger.

West Brom will play Swansea City in the midweek but Berahino is not expected to feature. However he could come for the weekend’s clash against Manchester United.

He was a regular for West Brom before his injury, he has made more than 100 appearances in Premier League since 2013.
