Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has given the updates on star players Daniel Sturridge and Jordan Henderson that the duo could make a return this weekend.

Daniel Sturridge and Jordan Henderson set to return

Henderson has missed three games for the Reds due to his heel injury which he suffered against Bournemouth a month ago.

The Captain travelled to New Jersey earlier this week to see specialist Dr John Cozzarelli to recover quickly.

Liverpool will face Norwich City on the coming Sunday at Anfield and the Irish manager is confident that the pair will be available for selection.

While striker Sturridge who has not featured since May due to hip injury has been training completely. The Englishman is also likely to return in the coming game.

Rodgers said earlier today that Henderson will train today and Sturridge has already returned to full training.

Liverpool have only scored three goals in five Premier League games so far this season. New striker Christian Benteke who has netted two goals is yet to reach his top form at Liverpool. The Boss believes that Benteke and Sturridge would become a great striking partnership.

While the other good news for the Liverpool supporters is that playmaker Philippe Coutinho has returned from his suspension after missing last game against Manchester United in the Premier League.
