The Gunners made several offers last summer to secure William Carvalho move, however, the deal never concluded in Arsenal's favour. The Portuguese newspaper O Jogo confirmed earlier today that the deal is likely to be sealed soon. O Jogo reported the deal is now on the cards. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is now closing on a deal and soon will reveal the agreement, as per the O Jogo. The 23-year-old has made 25 appearances in Portuguese league and six in Champions League so far this term. Arsenal have been linked with several midfielders over the past few months, Southampton Morgan Schneiderlin has been one of the top target. Meanwhile, Manchester City have entered the race to sign Valenciennes teenager Dayot Upamecano. The 16-year-old has been targeted by Arsenal and Manchester United.
