Manchester United want bring Barcelona centre-half Gerrad Pique back to Manchester, according to the Express. This rumour broke out after United failed to sign Stefan Savic, the former Manchester City defender from Fiorentina.
Stefan Savic, the Montenegro International decided to sign a new contract with the Seri A club which means that he will play for the club till June 2019.
This announcement came from the statement from Viola who said that the agreement has been signed and Stefan has renewed his contract.
Due to the failure of this deal, United are reportedly eyeing to sign Gerrard Pique. They have turned their attentions to the centre-half who joined Barcelona in 2008 when he left Manchester United.
Van Gaal who is eyeing to strengthen his defence this month has not been able to find to replacement for Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic and he is looking forward to find them in this transfer window.
