The Hammers boss Sam Allardyce has also said that Reid is free to negotiate with other clubs as he will leave Upton Park after his contract expires this summer. The centre-back will be out of contract at the end of the season.

In order to strengthen his defence, Arsene Wenger is keen to bring a new centre-back at the Emirates Stadium. He wants to bring the New Zealand international to the Emirates Stadium in this transfer window. Arsenal are hoping to get Reid in £3million.

Arsenal’s Boss Wenger thinks that with the inclusion of Reid, the depth of Arsenal’s line up will increase and it will strengthen his defence. It will also boost their chances of making in the top 4 in the Barclays Premier League.

Apart from Arsenal, Manchester United is also interested in Reid and manager Louis Van Gaal is willing to bring him in his squad.

Wenger is ready to beat the Red Devils by paying £3million in order to secure Reid’s services.

Celtic's Virgil van Dijk and Ipswich Town's Tyrone Mings are also in Wenger’s list but he will prefer Reid over these because of his experience in Premier League.
