Mario Balotelli who signed for Liverpool  in the summer is hoping to be as good as the Paris Saints Germain talisman Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the future.

Mancini who has managed both the players together during his first spell at Inter Milan revealed that Balotelli always tried to copy Ibrahimovic. That time Balotelli was a teenager while Ibrahimovic was their star man. Mancini believes that the Swedish striker is the role model for all the strikers.

Mancini said: “Mario would like to emulate Ibrahimovic.”

“But Zlatan has a few more years and has accumulated a degree of experience, quality, class and strength that he [Balotelli] is yet to acquire, even though he's been playing for many years.”

Balotelli is yet to acquire all the qualities despite of playing for several years. The Italian boss wishes him the best of luck in the future.

“Mario was so young, now he dwells a bit too much on so many things. I hope and wish for him to become like Ibrahimovic.”

The 50-year-old brought Balotelli to Manchester City when he was occupying the managerial role at the Etihad Stadium. The Italian boss is reportedly eyeing him once again, according to reports.

Balotelli who is yet to net his first Premier League goal for Liverpool will miss this Sunday’s clash against Arsenal at Anfield for posting a racist tweet.

The 24-year-old is suspended for a game and a £25,000 fine for his racist and anti-Semitic comments on Twitter.

FA have also ordered the former AC Milan striker to attend an education programme.
