According to recent reports, Manchester City midfielder James Milner could be on his way out in the January as his contract will expire at the end of this season.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been in strong search for a midfielder but couldn’t find the right man. He targeted many names including William Carvalho of Sporting Lisbon, Morgan Schneiderlin of Southampton and Sami Khedira of Real Madrid but failed to finalize a deal for any of them.

According to recent reports, Manchester City midfielder James Milner could be on his way out in the winter transfer window as his contract expires at the end of this season.

The Englishman has already been linked with a move away from the Etihad stadium for the regular first team football, yesterday he came on as a substitute to feature against Arsenal, the match ended as a draw.

Milner has made 158 appearances for the Citizens since his move from Aston Villa in 2011. In four seasons, he has won two Premier League titles, a FA Cup and a League Cup.

Liverpool, Everton have also shown interest in the 28-year-old versatile midfielder according to Daily Star.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Joe Hart is yet to commit his future with the Premier League Champions which might give Manuel Pellegrini a blow.

The 27-year-old stopper has played 259 games since 2006. Currently playing his ninth season for Manchester City.
