Evra Off to Juventus, new signing Shaw Injured, Now Manchester United may turn towards Daley Blind of Ajax as they need a defender.

After a summer of un-fulfilled transfer expectations reaching its climax, Manchester United have been dealt a huge blow in their pursuit of the Premier League title. After successfully completing the USA tour in which the 20 times Champions of England signed off with a Champions Cup trophy, Luke Shaw debut in the BPL has been dealt a huge blow after suffering hamstring injury in training. This means that the record Premier League signing will play no part in the opening month of the Premier League.

While United have put their full faith in Englishman earlier this campaign after seeing off Patrice Evra, it might become a headache for the new Manchester United manager as only Alexander Buttner is left in the sideline to replace the 31million pound signing. And if any new signing is not made sooner, it will be the Dutch left back who might get a nod.

Buttner just started 2 games for Manchester United last season.

While Manchester United are known to play with a 3-5-2 formation under Luis Van Gaal in the Pre-Season friendlies, wing backs are very important for the trinity of the left back in this model. That position was occupied by Daley Blind in the Dutch squad as the defender turned midfielder played in the wing position in the mid with going backward to support his team mates.

Luke Shaw has been earlier told by the Manchester United boss that he should work on his fitness and just when he could have come with an answer to that criticism, the former Saint left back has been dealt a huge blow. However, if we look at the 1st 5 fixtures of the United team, that this injury might not affect early pursuit towards the title as United play no top-7 team in their 1st 5 fixtures which can only be described as a welcome sign for United after seeing their star man go injured.

United first 5 fixtures: Swansea, Sunderland (A), Burnley (A), QPR, Leicester.

And now according to Sunday Express, Manchester United will now turn their attention towards Daley Blind after losing out on Thomas Vermalen to Barcelona. Blind, who was renowned as the Dutch player of the year was brilliant under Van Gaal ownership as he scored 1 goal and provided 3 assists in successful campaign of the Dutch team. However since we all know that Van Gaal was handed a 200million war-chest at the start of his Manchester United tenure, deal to bring Blind might cost the English giants 17million pounds.
