Alessandro Del Piero set to return to Italy to rejoin Juventus once again. Sydney's striker will be out of contract this summer and is still looking to play at the age of 39.

Juventus legend has said that he cannot close the doors for Juventus. The Bianconeri icon might return to his country in order to rejoin his former team.


The 39-year-old left Italy for Australian side Sydney in 2012 after playing 19 successful years at Juventus, he scored 290 goals in 705 matches. For Sydney he has played 11 games in which he has scored 5 goals this season.

He told Italian media Rai Sport that he is still in love with Juventus and this love will never be ended. His doors are always open for his love.

The Italian striker will be out of contract at the end of season and he has said that he would probably be considering to return to Turin where he won 6 Serie A trophies and a Champions League trophy.

He said that he has never closed his doors to anything or anyone throughout his life.

"The choice of Australia has been a choice of life and curiosity. I wanted to compare myself with a different world."

Juventus are currently on top of the league table and Del Piero praised Juventus manager Antonio Conte by saying that Juventus are playing different this season and players are giving their 100% to succeed under Conte. They will definitely be lifting the third consecutive league trophy.
